Peter Somuah, Harmen Fraanje and Jesse Van Ruller are some of the artists taking part in this summer’s Spark strand of Dutch programming at the summertime Edinburgh Jazz and Blues festival.
The initiative is funded by the Performing Arts Fund NL and the Scottish Government’s EXPO Fund, and delivered in partnership with inJazz / Buma Cultuur and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the United Kingdom.

Participating Spark acts are: Evan and Carolina’s Super Duper Group & Fun (Jazz Bar, Edinburgh (17 July); Harmen Fraanje (St Mark’s Episcopal Church, 18 July); Van Ruller / Hogenhuis (St Bride’s Centre, 18 July); Peter Somuah (St Bride’s Centre, 19 July); Mooren, Watson, Herberholz, Irons (The Jazz Bar, 20 July); Ponga (The Jazz Bar, 21 July). There’s also a Henning Bolte jazz talk to be held in the St Bride’s Centre cafe on 18 July in the afternoon.
