We are leading off with this beaut from the Little Giant.

What’s on for a Sunny Monday and the rest of the week

From Grammy nominees and rising UK stars to organ-driven hard bop and Brazilian fusion, here are a few of the standout jazz gigs for the week ahead. The focus here is London and Nottingham. Why Nottingham? Well the East Midlands city is home to one of England’s top regional day in, day out jazz clubs in Peggy’s Skylight. Food is an option there and won’t cost you an arm and a leg. In fact jazz in a club is incredible value when you think about what you’d pay if you wanted to take in a top West End show or trouser a ticket every couple of weeks – if you could even get one – for the Arsenal. So you don’t have to worry about drinking on an empty stomach if trekking in from the suburbs or neighbouring towns and haven’t a clue where to grab a bite or have to make do with a Ginsters dodging the rain sheltering in a shop doorway yet again. And yet crucially the menu puts jazz music centre stage.
