Flow down on the Arun Ramamurthy Trio

Burning South Indian Carnatic sounds

New today from the Arun Ramamurthy Trio certainly stimulates and resets the wonkiest of Circadian rhythms back into a proper orbit.

Spanning ragas and jazz trajectories 'Bangalore to Brooklyn' is drawn from New Moon which is out on the 20th to be issued by Greenleaf Music.

Here's the flow down

A violin, bass guitar and drums configured band the album contains a 4-part New Moon Suite that says Ramamurthy ''reflects on the inspiration of ancestors and family, and the lessons we take on our own personal journeys.''

Inspired by the classical music of India

Violinist, composer Ramamurthy is from Brooklyn and is joined in this tremendous flow by bass guitarist Damon Banks from the Bronx and by NYC drummer Sameer Gupta who is a co-founder with Ramamurthy of the Brooklyn Raga Massive, a collective of musicians rooted in and inspired by the classical music of India.
