Flagey – an Art Deco cultural centre in the Belgian capital, housed in the former national radio headquarters – hosts the festival.

On the bill are Edition Records signing Belgian band N∆bou led by trombonist-composer Nabou Claerhout plus a strong strand of GB bands including Scottish nu jazz act Corto.Alto, the experimentalism of Ruth Goller’s Skylla and driving sound of Tom Skinner known for his work with Sons of Kemet and The Smile.

N∆bou’s latest album out at the end of January is called Indigo from which ‘Unpersuadable Extern’ is streaming. Claerhout’s style reminds me of Noushy‘s a bit. Dates are 15-24 Jan.
