Made up largely of originals by drummer Andy Wheelock it’s the top lines guitar playing of Gilad Hekselman that makes this record the dynamic and spirited release it is.

John Patitucci sense of buoyancy…
… and a Gilfema-like poise
Bassist Gonzalo Teppa who contributes the tune ‘Well Luck Indeed’ provides a John Patitucci sense of buoyancy and the tunes contain a vibrant AfroLatin feel.
Wheelock was terrific with Steve Nelson on the Live Edge Trio’s Closing Time released earlier this year also issued by Seattle indie Origin/OA2 and this appeals not quite as much but close enough.
