Binker Golding and Denys Baptiste to appear in Tomorrow’s Warriors’ 35th anniversary season

Binker Golding: summer gigging

Tomorrow’s Warriors is marking its 35th anniversary with a summer programme of performances across London and beyond, featuring alumni, current ensembles and invited guests.

Among the musicians appearing during the season are saxophonists Binker Golding and Denys Baptiste, both long associated with the organisation’s influential talent development network. They will join a one-day celebration at Coal Drops Yard, King’s Cross, on 16 August, alongside fellow alumni ESKA, Zara McFarlane and Gary Crosby (reviewed above recently playing at Cadogan Hall).

The programme also includes appearances at Love Supreme Festival, Southbank Centre, We Out Here Festival and Black On The Square, as well as performances by the Nu Civilisation Orchestra at the BBC Proms. One of those concerts will see the Denys Baptiste & Gary Crosby Quartet perform John Coltrane’s A Love Supreme at Bristol Beacon for BBC Radio 3.
Read a 2015 live review performance led by Crosby and featuring a pre-Ezra Collective fame appearance by Joe Armon-Jones in the McCoy Tyner role.
